Free Drumming-for-Rain Group

Walnut Creek Office Location If "rain dances" are performed, why not "rain drums" or drumming for rain?

A free rain-drumming group will be offered on
Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., weekly

Attend one or more rain-drum events, as you are able.
Bring yourself, a floor mat or pillow, drums, shakers, or anything percussion.

Call (925) 932-2090 for directions and to reserve a space for a particular Wednesday.

Location is near highways 680/24 Interchange or in Lafayette, depending on turnout.

Because it is sometimes difficult to go out and attend a drumming-for-rain group, individuals can help by drumming-for-rain at a regular time every day at home, even by yourself, for only 5 to 10 minutes.

The rain-drum group is only adults at this time, as this drumming is not for recreation. Kids drumming-for-rain at home is encouraged, however, as long as the parents are agreeable and an adult can supervise.

If an individual is currently experiencing traumatic stress, it is best for she or he to join a rain-drumming group at a later time. For some, drumming can be detrimental or toxic. All of the body's systems can be affected by drumming, including unsolicited memories of trauma.

This is a Rain-Drum group only and not for therapy. It is a peace-making group meant to achieve inner balance and petition for much-needed rain here in California. The rain-drum group is light-hearted, but maintains a certain dignity.

Here is the story of The Rainmaker
, which describes how getting in Tao, in balance, can be of great value.

(A $5.00 refreshment donation is requested for those who can afford it; no one turned away for lack of money. Space is limited, however.)
